We dined at The Boynton on Highland St. in Worcester, MA tonite. It was fantastic. They have a regular offering each day (lunch and dinner) of a fantastic GF pizza (three different kinds – cheese, pepperoni, and pepper and onions. We had it a few weeks ago and it was unbelievably delicious. On Wednesday nights they have a GF menu with three different entrees – tonight they had haddock with a GF bread crumb topping and a parmesan peppercorn sauce, BBQ ribs, and roasted chicken, all with a choice of steamed broccoli or asparagus, and roasted potatoes. I had the ribs, my husband had the fish – both entrees were delicious! And the potatoes were fabulous. I’m telling you – I feel normal eating out again. Oh, and we had shrimp cocktail with GF cocktail sauce. And we had a GF triple chocolate mousse cake for dessert. While we had no right eating such a big deal the night before Thanksgiving, I wouldn’t trade it for all the turkey in China:).

That all sounds really wonderful!
Now, I wonder what you topped that with for your gluten-free Thanksgiving feast? Seems like quite a nice “warm up” for the big event.
Pretty standard fare actually. We ate home and had turkey, mashed potatoes, mashed squash, and mashed turnip (husband cooked – loves mashed foods, obviously!), cranberry sauce – all homemade of course!
We went to Boynton on their Pizza night in October. I am sycked to hear that they have GF night on Wed also! Of course we are 1.5 hours away so we cant get there very often, but I must say (and you can pass this on to them) that it is GREAT to be able to eat a meal out with my toddler (she’s the one with celiac) and not have to worry.

It’s worth the trip! That’s for sure!

I can’t wait to go back to Boynton again. Went there in October and loved their pizza. Will definitely find time to make the hour trip.
I just discovered your site! Thanks for such great info and fun reading!
Just discovered your site through GF goddess. Thanks for the info. I was diagnosed in August of 05. I live in CA but your post made me more hopeful of a restaurant in San Diego having a GF night.
Ellen, it seems you are taking a break
I check your site ever couple days, and noticed you haven’t been online since around Thanksgiving. Here’s hoping you are just busy perfecting some new recipes or having a great time somewhere.
Yes, it’s true, I’ve stayed away. But I think I’m back in the saddle and will begin posting again. Thanks for visiting and to all of you who’ve let me know that this blog is worth maintaining!
